Zip, a 15 year old Palomino Gelding sustained this injury of the flexor tendon are in October of 2009. Since October, the wound failed to contract fully, and excessive granulation tissue developed over the flexor surface on the left front leg just proximal to the fetlock.
This is how the wound appeared on January 26, 2010. The wound was debrided and treated with equitrX Wound Healing Spray Gel
The wound was treated with equitrX Wound Healing Spray Gel. After 6 weeks on March 6, 2010 the wound was drastically smaller and well on its way to complete healing. Zip went back to his job as a lesson horse.
